French Kiss Events Featuring Crystal French Photography

Ever wonder what its like to be a wedding planner/photographer/officiate? Well, I am all three and I am going to start this blog fresh, as we are starting our life fresh in Galveston, with my first Wedding and we are just in time. I have Colin and Eva getting married on June 25, 2011. I will take you through the wedding planning process and the photography and even the running of the ceremony and reception, as the planner, or officiate, step by step. If you, like me, are passionate about any of those three things, follow along, and maybe you will find out, that this is your destiny as well. Welcome along for the ride.

I havent updated in awhile cause I have been so busy.

Sorry to all my followers. It has been one wedding after another and I haven't had a chance to update as between weddings I am desperately trying to catch up on pictures that need editing. It has been a crazy summer full of beautiful, incredible weddings and I am so proud. This weekend we have today's wedding and a big one tomorrow as well. Chris and Stephanie are getting married at the Palms this evening and tomorrow Shane and Amanda are having a very red rose petal wedding on Crystal Beach. Then hurrah, we leave on a cruise Sunday. We are going to Mahogany Bay, Belize, and Cozumel. It is our first cruise and I am so excited I can barely sit down. I know we will have a blast. I promise to update with pictures as soon as I get back.

As the Season continues.....

well, I feel like I will never get back to blogging regularly, as in addition to constant weddings, I have over 10 wedding pictures I am in the process of editing. I know I will finish, but it is taking longer than I wanted it to. I just have to spend everyday editing pics and eventually I will get there. I have two big weddings this weekend. One in Crystal Beach, the other in Surfside Beach. It is going to take alot of work this week to get it all together. Luckily, this is the last crazy weekend for awhile. Most of them will be mild with small to moderate weddings and less bookings between now and the cruise. The hard stuff is behind us for the moment. Hope everyone is well. More soon and pictures to follow.

Sorry I haven't been posting. Weddings and editing photos has been keeping me super busy. All I can say in the middle of this crazy wedding season is, thank the good Lord, everyone's wedding has gone awesome. I haven't had one go badly yet, thank goodness. Now I am knocking on wood lol. Everyone has been especially grateful and appreciative of our work, which just thrills me to no end. I have had some amazing couples!! I have a wedding tomorrow and one on Monday. I changed the design on the Bamboo arch. Rather than have the material wrapped tightly around the bamboo, I have made a cover that comes down and ties, almost like curtains on either side with satin. It is beautiful. I will post pictures when I take some on the beach tomorrow. I currently am working on pictures for 8 weddings and after Monday it will be 10. That is the long, hard part...all the editing. I love taking the pictures, love, love, love it, but editing is another story. I wish the pictures would come out perfect so they wouldn't need editing, but even with my very expensive camera, they still need some work. I am weary of editing but still love capturing the moments. Well back to the grind. Wishing you all love and happiness, and congratulations to Chan and Erica, and Juan and Rachel. May your weddings be everything you hoped for.

3 Wedding weekend

Well, we have a 3 wedding weekend again. Should be lots of fun (I hope lol.) We are having a big one today, Ashley and Johnny, and then a medium one tomorrow, Tim and Mandy, and a smallish one on Sunday, Beza and David. I am praying they all go beautifully, especially the photography. The beaches have been covered with seaweed which is not conductive to beautiful venues, or nice pictures. The City of Galveston is leaving it to create sand dunes, or some such, but it is pure nasty and ugly looking and it smells bad. I am hoping for the sake of my brides that they cleaned up for this weekend anyway. I am having to do alot of stuff last minute for these weddings, but it can't be helped this time. I have to pick up the bride's cake tomorrow, as so they could avoid the huge delivery charge. I just need to get it safely back...one of those things I get nervous being in charge of. Here's a prayer that they all go wonderfully. It is the very best I can give my brides. I so badly want them to have perfect weddings. Here's to hoping! I will let you know how it goes. We are doing tropical colors today with the sashes in yellow and light green, lavender and dark purple tomorrow, and white on Sunday. They are having a large reception tonight at the Garden Verein, a beach house reception tomorrow, and a restaurant reception on Sunday. We have 3 weddings next weekend, and the weekend after so we will be quite busy the next few weeks. Should be interesting. I will keep you up to date.

Another Perfect Wedding

We had another absolutely beautiful wedding on Saturday. Though the beaches aren't clean right now in Galveston, the setup was lovely and the bride and groom looked so nice, I almost got teary. We catered this one too, so Charles was a little annoyed with me playing both minister and caterer, but he did fabulously and everyone raved. I know he hates playing both roles at once, but sometimes we gotta do it. The food was wonderful, as usual when he caters and everyone went on and on about how good it was. This was a long one, lasting from when we started decorating at 2:00 pm until almost 1:00 am when the reception finished up. All and all it was a great day. Now on to this weekend, where we will be doing 3 weddings.

3 Weddings in 72 hours

Well once again, we pulled it off. We managed a wedding, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The best part about it is they all went beautiful. If my couples are happy, then I am a happy, happy girl. The first was a vow renewal, with a gorgeous mix of tropical flowers. The bride used black chair covers with turquoise sashes, with orange and purple flowers in the back. Then she had the same colored sashes tied everywhere along with colorful paper parasols. It was so pretty. The second wedding was done in purple and lime green, and after the ceremony was followed by a reception where everyone had a blast. Finally, the wedding on Sunday was beautifully done in 3 different blues and white with peacock feathers. So congratulations to Ricc and Rain Flowers, Robert and Katina Hodges, and Paul and Jennifer Doran. Charles had to leave for the airport after performing Paul and Jennifer's ceremony, so I owe them and the guys in their party, a huge thanks cause without their help I never would have been able to get everything packed up and ready to go.I could never have carried all that heavy equipment and gotten it put up. My pictures all came out great with some special ones taken at the San Luis for two of the couples. I think everyone will be pleased with their pictures. Two of the couple performed the Shell Ceremony, which everyone always loves. All three brides were dressed formally, Jennifer even wore cute little teal colored heels which I got lots of shots of. The best part is the satisfaction of knowing everyone had a good time at their weddings. That is is something for them to remember always. Now next weekend, Cynthia marries Daniel and not only are we doing the ceremony, we are catering. Charles gets back on Friday evening so he is cutting it close and will be up all night long cooking dinner. Wish us luck and Congratulations again to all my new couples!!!

Well everything is packed up and ready for Shana and Jay's wedding. I am just writing to say a little prayer that everything goes perfectly. I always get a little nervous the night before a big wedding. I want it to be beautiful and perfect and become one of the most special days of their lives. This is always my hope and so far I have been extremely lucky. I wouldn't call myself an extremely religious person, but someone has sure helped me out. There is no way I could have done the amount of weddings I have done, on my own, with no help, and have them almost all come out perfect. So now I say a little prayer that tomorrow will be a dream come true for one lucky couple. Congratulations Shana and Jay!!!
